Exact-hit bonus

With the bonus on, stopping the clock exactly on the target (to the hundredth, like 5.00) makes the round worth 2 points instead of 1.

Rounds

With a round limit, the game ends after the last round and crowns an overall winner by wins.

How to play

  1. Pick a target range. Every round rolls a surprise target from your range — anywhere from 0.1s up to 3, 10 or 15 seconds, or a custom range you set yourself.
  2. Start the timer. The clock hides the moment it starts — count in your head. In solo practice you can also keep the clock visible.
  3. Stop when you think it's time. The display reveals your exact time and how far off you were.
  4. Closest player wins the round and gets 1 point — or 2 points for stopping exactly on the target, if the exact-hit bonus is on. After the final round, the player with the most points takes the game.

The clock shows for 3 seconds, then goes dark — keep counting. Space bar / Enter works too.

What Is Pass & Play?

Pass & Play is the local multiplayer mode: 2 to 12 players take turns on one device. You set the players, enter names, pick a target range and a round count, then everyone passes the phone or tablet around. Each player stops the hidden timer on their turn; the scoreboard keeps track of who's winning.

It needs no internet connection, no extra devices, and no accounts. It works at a kitchen table, in a classroom, at a party, or anywhere a group of people and one phone are in the same place.

House Rules for Pass & Play

Shielding the screen: Between turns, place the phone face-down or point it away so the next player can't see the target before their turn. This prevents a player from just copying the last person's time.

Scoring boost: Turn on the exact-hit bonus to make perfect stops worth 2 points instead of 1. This adds an incentive to aim for zero error, not just "close enough."

Speed round variant: Use the 3-second challenge with 10 rounds and no round limit. First to 3 PERFECTs wins. Fast and loud.

Pass & Play FAQ

Can players see each other's results in real time?

Yes. After each player stops the timer, the round results panel shows every player's time and delta. The scoreboard updates after each round.

What is the maximum number of players?

12 players. For more people, you can split into two groups and compare final scores, or use the online mode to run two separate challenges simultaneously.

Does pass-and-play work offline?

Yes. The game runs entirely in the browser and needs no internet once the page has loaded. Perfect for travel or areas with no signal.
